About Arkansas Criminal History

Arkansas criminal records are divided among several government systems. ACIC maintains the central Computerized Criminal History repository, Arkansas State Police provides public and authorized check services, the Arkansas Department of Corrections tracks state custody, and the Arkansas Sex Offender Registry publishes qualifying registry information. Courts and local agencies in all 75 counties retain the original case, arrest, booking, and jail records. We built Arkansas Criminal History to make those lines easier to understand and to route readers to the government source that actually holds the needed record.

Why We Built This Site

Public access in Arkansas depends on knowing which record is being sought. ACIC receives fingerprint-linked arrest events and reported court dispositions, but a statewide history is not the same as an original court file. Search ARCourts offers public case information where coverage and access rules permit. The Arkansas Department of Corrections covers state custody, while the Arkansas Sex Offender Notification System serves a separate public-safety purpose. Sheriffs, police departments, jails, circuit clerks, and district clerks create much of the source material. Arkansas Criminal History connects those statewide and county layers without presenting one database as a complete substitute for the others.

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Arkansas court, sheriff's office, police department, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:

  • We do not conduct official criminal history checks or retrieve records for a visitor
  • We cannot submit sealing petitions, public-record requests, or court forms for another person
  • We do not certify rap sheets, court documents, arrest files, or any other government record
  • We cannot offer legal advice about a charge, disposition, warrant, or individual case
  • We cannot promise that a government office's fee, address, or procedure has not changed

An official copy must come from its source, such as ACIC, Arkansas State Police, the court, or the county agency that created the record. Arkansas Criminal History can explain the route, but it cannot issue the document.
