Questions about official Arkansas criminal records must go to the agency that keeps the source file. ACIC and Arkansas State Police handle central criminal history services, the Arkansas Department of Corrections maintains state custody information, and courts and local agencies hold their own records. The routes below identify the statewide office or one of Arkansas's 75 county jurisdictions that can respond to the request. Arkansas Criminal History is a private reference resource and cannot act for those government offices.

This Is Not a Government Office. Arkansas Criminal History is privately operated. It cannot obtain official records, perform an official check, correct or remove a record, or accept a sealing petition. Send each request directly to the responsible Arkansas agency or court.

Need an Official Record?

Use the source that matches the kind of Arkansas record needed:

  • Court files: use Search ARCourts when available, then contact the circuit or district clerk that holds the official case
  • Criminal histories and official checks: use Arkansas State Police Identification Bureau services; ACIC administers the central repository
  • State custody: use the Arkansas Department of Corrections Inmate Search for Division of Correction information
  • Registry information: use the ACIC Arkansas Sex Offender Notification System or contact the local registering agency
  • Police and incident reports: ask the Arkansas law-enforcement agency that created the report
  • Record sealing: file through the court that handled the Arkansas case
  • County records: route sheriff bookings, jail records, and local court matters through the Arkansas county directory

For questions about reviewing or correcting a central record, contact Arkansas Crime Information Center, 322 South Main Street, Suite 615, Little Rock, AR 72201, 501-682-2222. Arkansas State Police Identification Bureau provides ARCH, authorized background-check, certified-result, and fingerprint-processing services.
